We've all been forced to learn a foreign language since we were children, but what about English for academic purposes?

The English language has over 1,500 years of history. It is the world's most commonly spoken language and the oldest contemporary European language. Discover what happened and how it progressed over time!

Because English is such a tough language to grasp, it can be extremely challenging for students to study in an English-speaking country. With this essay, I'll try to assist those students by providing them with some pointers on how to enhance their talents. So, keep an eye out!

Are you looking for some interesting facts on the English language? Well, this blog post is perfect for you! There are so many great tips on how to speak English better, and even some interesting things about some of the most common words. We hope you enjoy this blog post and it makes your learning process just a little bit easier.

What makes English different from other languages? There are tons of new vocabulary words that might be difficult to learn, not to mention colloquialisms that can take time to get used to.

I will start with listing some important techniques and tricks so as not to lose your way in this article: Tip number one: "Pronounce words with care" e.g.: you say 'play' not 'plue'. Tip number two: "Give meaning" e.g. saying 'I'd like to do this' instead of 'I want to do this'. Tip number three: "Make sentence-sense" e.g. saying 'I'd like you to come' instead of 'I want you come'. Now, let us begin with the first point: Pronounce words with care! There are many English words that are spelled alike but have different pronunciations e.g.: flaunt (flaunt) vs flout (flout); Tip number one: Pronounce words with care! There are many English words that are spelled alike but have different pronunciations e.g. : Tip number two : Give meaning! There are many expressions that are used in everyday English-speaking life, but they do not mean the same thing in every case. Here are some examples: Tip number three : Make sentence-sense! There are many expressions that are used in everyday English-speaking life, but they do not mean the same thing in every case. Here are some examples: Couplet 1: My guitar is very old; I want to sell it. 'Very old' pretty much means 'old enough to trap all of your ghosts on camera'. So why does it say 'old'? Simple! Because 'old' has its purpose on this context. Written by Doreen

Petroleum Engineering Program

Petroleum Engineering Event Organized by Somali Magazine

The importance of petroleum engineering in the modern world cannot be understated. Petroleum engineers use tools and techniques to extract, process, and transport oil.
They can even be called upon to help develop alternative sources of fuel such as solar panels and wind turbines. As the need for fuel has increased in recent years, petroleum engineering has burst into a major career field that is attractive for many reasons including an average starting salary of $79K per year and high demand due to global competition among nations.

The petroleum engineering field was not created overnight and is constantly evolving. Petroleum engineers must have a wide array of knowledge and skills ranging from geology to chemistry. Petroleum engineering is basically the engineering applied to the recovery, conversion, and transport of oil or gas. Though engineering is involved in every part of the oil industry, petroleum engineering generally includes all aspects up to and including refining and distribution of petroleum products. Petroleum engineers may also work on issues related to exploration for new sources of oil or ways to improve recovery from current fields. The field of petroleum engineering began with the first major application — recovery and purification — and will continue as long as there is demand for fossil fuels. More recent innovations have helped to boost the field's stature in the larger engineering community, including things like the birth of computer-aided design (CAD) and simulation modeling.

To enter petroleum engineering, it is recommended that prospective students have a great math background, as well as "good fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, multiphase flow, statistics." Many programs require students to be at least a junior in college before they are allowed to apply because of the rigorous requirements. Although not required, it is usually beneficial for students to take at least one course on petroleum engineering that includes looking into resources available for careers beyond petroleum engineering. For example, students may be able to discover how to get started in the field of engineering management or other engineering fields depending on their interests.

The first step to becoming a petroleum engineer is receiving an accredited bachelor's degree. Most schools offer specialized programs for petroleum engineering, but there are several that also offer degrees that allow for more than just petroleum engineering applications. An example Somaville University that offers an accredited bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering. One major advantage of starting the bachelor's degree at a school with this type of program is its diversity; students can take courses in different areas aside from petroleum engineering, which will later allow them to secure jobs in various fields (e.g., environmental/chemical or business).
