SOCIAL MEDIA AND FREEDOM OF SPEECH
The internet has become the world's most popular method of communication, so it's no surprise that social media is becoming increasingly important in our lives. With its ability to facilitate discussion on a wide spectrum of topics, there is an endless number of ways for people to express themselves online. But while some people feel more comfortable sitting down at their computer and typing out their thoughts, others find it more challenging.
'The difficulty in expressing oneself online appears to have given rise to a number of social media groups aimed at helping people with social anxiety. According to the Anxiety and Depression Association of America, an estimated 10 percent of adults experience social anxiety, which can affect how they interact with others. Many people turn to computers or mobile devices in order to get the information they are seeking, but for some people this may make them feel more self-conscious.
'Do I really need this?'
For people who are looking for their next job, social media may mean that they are exposed to information about opportunities that they would not have found in the past. This obviously is a good thing, but the issue is whether the individual wants to be exposed to this information. For some individuals, seeing posts from others about new jobs may make them feel worse about their own situation. If they are particularly unhappy in their current position and do not know where else to turn, it can be discouraging to see other people finding similar jobs elsewhere.
One way people can deal with this is by unplugging from technology when looking at social media sites. It is important to realize that this does not mean going cold turkey, but simply changing the way a person uses social media. If a person wants to find a new job, they need to interact with others on a more casual basis rather than role playing their current job. This can be difficult at first if the individual has been using social media for years, but they will learn how to interact with others accordingly if they are willing and able to do so.
'Surround yourself with positive people'
While it may be difficult for some people to go cold turkey in terms of unplugging from technology, the best thing that an individual can do is surround themselves with positive people who provide them with support and affirmation. Social media can be a source of stress for many people, but if the individual eliminates the negative posts and only looks at positive posts, they will find that everything else will fall into place. By focusing on what is best in their lives rather than what is not working, individuals will find that anxiety about social media lessens significantly.
'Social media can help with job hunting'
Although this may seem like an obvious statement, many people are still hesitant to use social media when looking for work because it seems like something they would need to hide. But according to numerous studies , social media can actually be used as a resource when trying to find the work that one wants. The information that is available online can be utilized in order to reach out to the right people, and there are even websites dedicated to helping people reach out to potential employers.
While this does not mean that an individual should ignore their current job, it does mean that they should do what they can in order to make themselves more attractive in potential positions.
'The right persons will find you'
Many people are concerned about the impact of social media on their reputation, but it is important for individuals to realize that neither secrets nor lies are necessary when using social media.
If an individual makes a statement or two about their life on social media that happened in the past, then they are giving other people permission to look back at their history.

BAD EDUCATION SYSTEM
The current education system is bankrupt. Graduates lack basic skills to succeed in the 21st-century job market and do not have the coping skills to navigate adulthood. This is despite notable gains in achievement during this millennium, including easier access to information, instant communication, and new modes of expression.
This education system is failing them now, but it also failed them as children by neglecting their social-emotional development. It's an inherently flawed system that needs a complete overhaul if the United States wants to compete with other countries on an international stage.
Schools are no longer simply places of learning; they are now miniature versions of society at large. Schools now help shape the minds of America's youth, as well as shape them as adults. Many studies have shown that a school's culture has a direct impact on the performance of its students. For example, according to a poll done by Forbes, student assessment tests at Harvard University showed that those who were expected to perform better were often penalized for mistakes, even if those mistakes were made innocently. The students "looked back" on their day and said they felt stressed, angry, and disrespected.
Skills development is critical at all levels in our education system. At a basic level, children need to know how to read and write these basic aspects of life. But for children to become proficient readers/writers, they must be taught social-emotional skills. Otherwise, their peers will view reading and writing as mere academic exercises.
Parenting is also critical in the development of children's social-emotional skills. This is especially important at a time when the United States has become a "have not" nation with a growing number of "haves," while a growing number of people are experiencing the pains of poverty and unemployment. Parenting must be more than homeschooling or providing children access to video games and TV shows that have no educational value. Parents must teach their children good habits from an early age that will set them up for success in school, sports, and life in general.
The ability of children to read properly correlates with their ability to succeed in school. Children with proper skills are more likely to achieve academically, but so are children who have proper emotional skills. This is why social-emotional education is so important. If people don't have the proper social-emotional skills, they will have difficulty getting along with their peers and learning academic subjects
When people succeed in school, everyone wins. Their families benefit from higher incomes and improved health care coverage. Communities improve because residents have more money to spend for goods and services like housing, food and consumer goods. Businesses benefit from higher labor productivity. And all of society benefits from better students who are able to leave the education system with realistic skills that they can use in their jobs or in school, leading to more sophisticated communities that are even better places to live.
We cannot allow our nation's educational system to continue as it is. We must bring about change that will ensure that all children, regardless of race or socioeconomic position, have the opportunity to succeed in the 21st century.
The education reform movement has been winding down for several years now, but it has yet to reach its final destination: a fully integrated system built on a foundation of individualized learning and social-emotional skills development.

HOW TO KNOW YOU ARE ON THE RIGHT PATH
“A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself.” -Joseph Campbell
It has been said that you only need one hero in your lifetime. One person who inspires you to push past the struggles of your life and keep going no matter what. I want to share a story with you about someone I know, who has never given up. He is a friend, he is a son, he is an uncle and a cousin, and most importantly he is my hero. His name is Kevin Jones Jr., but everyone calls him KJ for short. He is a man of strong character and perseverance. KJ loves God and has a strong passion for making a positive difference in the world.
KJ grew up in the rural town of Rosston, Arkansas. He was raised by his mother Bobby and grandmother Sissy Jones. KJ loved reading and writing stories as a small child but he never thought he would go on to become an author or illustrator. After high school, he went to work as a mechanic for his uncle Jerry’s “door company” as well as for his dad’s construction business, but after six years of this life, he felt empty and without purpose. He knew he was growing weary of the "concrete jungle" and decided to take a chance on his imagination. He started writing, which eventually led to illustrating books for many clients.
KJ’s passion for storytelling sets him apart from other storytellers. His stories are true to life because he knows both the ups and the downs that come with being a normal kid. He has experienced them all, including listening to his mother's late-night stories while she worked as an insurance agent during the day.
KJ's desire to help others lead him down a path of service. He started his first business, "How To Be A Man" in 2005, working with teenage boys on how to be “manly” and live their lives with integrity. He also began working with homeless men on the streets of Little Rock, Arkansas after hearing about them on the local news. KJ started to work with them one-on-one by visiting their shelters and then taking them out for a meal or a movie at night. After turning around many young men's lives through God, KJ knew that he needed to do more. In 2008 he got back into business as an author and illustrator of children’s books.
KJ’s first book, "How to Be a Man" was released in the fall of 2008. Soon after that, he decided to write about another subject that has always fascinated him: The Bible. His book "The Greatest Story Ever Told" was released in 2009 and KJ has since become an author of Christian children's books. Throughout all of this, he continues to work with teenagers on how to be "manly". He is currently working on his third book which is being released in 2012 called "How To Be A Man... & More".
KJ currently lives in Little Rock, Arkansas with his wife Melany. He loves his family and spending time with them each day. He also loves to travel and loves to visit new places. He has had the opportunity to travel all across the United States, studying architecture at universities in North Carolina, Florida, and Virginia. He has even been to Europe and Africa, spending time in Vienna, Vienna, Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda. His goal is to continue to explore this world while telling stories of hope and love.

IF KEYBOARDS COULD TALK!
Most of us probably take for granted the fact that we've always had a computer in the room. That has been achieved, but it took a lot of work and time. The late 1800s saw the first efforts to develop what we now know as the typewriter; we finally got our computers in 2003 — 17 years after they were invented. It's pretty amazing and fascinating to think about how far computers and keyboards have come since then, especially with all these new apps and communities like Meetup popping up around them! There's no better way to get your knowledge on these subjects than by exploring this little-known world through an interesting website or app.
1. TYPING TARGETS (www.typingtargets.com/keyboard)
Typing Targets is a fun and interactive keyboard website where you can learn all about the keyboard while playing a very cool game. You'll get to play on your own keyboard, and all you have to do is type. The main screen will ask you to choose which part of the keyboard you want to play with… The game will also tell you how many words you typed correctly, and how many incorrect keystrokes you made. For each keystroke, there's a short sound that'll play. Typing Target has several different typing games for you to play
.
2. COMCAST KEYBOARD (www.comcastsupport.com/keyboard)
This site is a great resource for those who need help with their keystrokes on Comcast's network, as well as the guest user. this site also has a "How To" section that will give you more information on what the various options are in case there's something that confuses you or doesn't make sense. This site is very useful if you're having trouble using your computer's keyboard!
3. KEYRUS (www.keyrus.com)
Keyrus is the home of the world's first typing game show; it may not be fun to play, but it will teach you about how your keys work! Enter at your own risk, as this site is very addictive! There are two games on Keyrush: Type Relay and Typing Rodeo.
Type Relay is a "type fast for big points" game, where you must type as many words as possible during the given time period. There are other players on the other side, so you have to keep an eye on the other scores. The winner of this game is determined by how many points each player has accumulated at the end of the allotted time.

ISRAEL PALESTINIAN CONFLICT
The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is a dispute within the Arab–Israeli arena over Israel's policies with respect to the Palestinians.
The long-standing issue led to increased violence and a continuing Palestinian uprising in 1966 that is ongoing today.
There are three main groups involved in this ongoing conflict: Israel, Arabs, and Palestinians. The Israelis argue that they hold an exclusive right of self-determination according to international law, while the Palestinians generally disagree and make claims for equal rights of self-determination according to United Nations Resolution 181 (1947) which refers to them as "refugees". The Arabs, using the collective position of the Arab League and under the United Nations, contended that all refugees wishing to return to their homes should be allowed to do so and that Israel should withdraw from all territories captured as a result of the Six-Day War (1967).
The Palestinians view the slogan "a land without a people for a people without a land" as coined by Zionist sources as racist and historically inaccurate. They point out that Palestine was inhabited for hundreds of years before the arrival of Jewish immigrants, and cite multiple occasions in history where many Jews lived in Palestine while not being citizens of it. Arab nationalists argue that Zionism is a colonialist project founded on racism against Arabs which seeks to dismantle Palestinian society. Arabs (including Arabs who are not involved in this conflict) claim that the Palestinian refugees should be returned to their homes and compensated for their properties, which were expropriated by the Israeli government after the 1948 war.
After the Six-Day War, Israel's security establishment developed a doctrine of deterrence. It argued that possession of nuclear weapons could deter an Israeli enemy during any future war. The doctrine was supported by several prominent Israeli scientists and intellectuals, including Avishai Shohat, Yitzhak Rabin, and Itzhak Rabin; but was rejected by several military figures in favor of an alternative policy of deterrence through conventional force. Israel maintains undisclosed nuclear capabilities, reportedly including a significant number of Dimona-model plutonium-239 production reactors and Jericho III missile delivery systems.
The Arab League states have never recognized the state of Israel. Until 1994, they officially sought to eliminate it. The 1967 Khartoum Resolution proclaimed that "armed struggle is the only way to liberate Palestine" and Arab states agreed that "political developments since 1948 prevented the establishing of a Palestinian state". In 1989, at a summit meeting in Casablanca hosted by Morocco, the Arab Heads of State declared their readiness to achieve a just solution to the Arab-Israeli conflict through negotiation. Subsequent summits, such as the Riyadh Summit in March 1991, have reaffirmed support for a peaceful resolution of the conflict through a two-state solution. In 2002, they extended membership to Israel.
In 1983, the PLO formally acknowledged Israel's right to exist and pledged an end to terrorism. In 1993, it accepted United Nations Security Council Resolution 242. In return, Israel committed to the 1993 Oslo Accords and created the Palestinian National Authority (PNA). The Accords recognized Israel's right to exist and contained a series of measures to reach a final peace settlement between the two sides. The Accords also stated that "the causes and issues involved in the conflict will be addressed in all their dimensions in negotiations between the Government of Israel and the Palestinian National Authority".it was permitted by the Israeli government to take part in a unity government with a Palestinian Authority that would be granted administrative control of Areas A and B in the West Bank and Gaza Strip respectively. The creation of a Palestinian state was envisioned in peace talks over a five-year period.
After the Oslo agreements, the PLO recognized the State of Israel and renounced terrorism and violence. However, as clashes with Israel continued, Palestinians began to question the utility of the peace process.
According to "The Middle East Journal", Palestinians claim that "the Israelis have reneged on commitments made through the Oslo agreements". Arie Bregman writes that many Palestinians feel that they have "nothing to show for an agreement they see as having imposed on them an inferior status quo". This feeling is heightened by resentment among many Arabs that Palestine has been occupied by Israel since 1967.
In 2002, Yasser Arafat signed an agreement with Ariel Sharon that formally committed both parties to reach a final peace settlement. However, Arafat died two years later, prompting the second Palestinian uprising.

HOW TO MAKE A POSITIVE CHARGE IN THE "BATTERIES" OF YOUR BRAIN
Some things I find that amuse me; such as; how anyone can say "I'm happy" and point to their tooth and claim it's a happy tooth... Do you want to be happy, or excited? Or do you simply want to be alive? If you see nothing but your tooth and nothing else, what would make you think that this is a good idea?
The answer is simple. Happiness is an emotion that is derived from emotion, and the only way to feel emotions is through the living organism of your body. If you're dead, you cannot feel anything at all. Happiness is derived from feeling something in your body; like an exciting new game that is about to be released, or the great dinner recipe that you'll be making tonight.
It can't be attained by looking at an object or attempting to get a buzz by doing drugs or drinking, because you don't have a living organism to receive the emotion of happiness. Only the enjoyment of feeling happy can make us happy.

GLOBAL WARMING PROVING MORE HAZARDOUS AS YEARS GO BY
Global warming is a significant change in the Earth's climate, with a number of serious consequences. This can be caused by natural or man-made changes.
Natural causes include greenhouse gases, volcanic eruptions, and solar activity, while man-made factors such as emissions from transportation and industry are also contributing to global warming.
The effects of global warming is that it will cause an increase in sea levels and the consequent flooding of coastal regions, affecting over 25% of the world population. Animal habitats would be destroyed and species rendered extinct with an adverse effect on biodiversity. There would also be more frequent extreme weather events such as heatwaves and storms which could result in property damage and human fatalities.
There are many different ways in which the changes to global warming could be tackled, including greenhouse gas emission reductions, cleaner fuels, and the development of new technologies. However, there is no immediate solution being proposed which will be environmentally friendly.
The main causes of global warming are derived from human activities. This is mainly due to the use of energy sources such as fossil fuels, which generate carbon dioxide (CO2) and other greenhouse gases when burnt. These gases are also released into the atmosphere by plants through photosynthesis or via deforestation, meaning that plants absorb CO2 that was previously released into the air by human activity. Other causes of global warming include changes in the Earth's orbit (known as the Milankovitch cycles), changes in albedo or reflection of sunlight, and increases in radiation from the sun caused by solar variability.
Adverse effects of global warming include more intense droughts, high temperatures, intense storms, and an increase in sea levels. Altered rainfall patterns would result in more frequent flooding events with resulting destruction to homes and property; some areas may even be rendered uninhabitable due to the increased number of wildfires which could damage air quality due to smoke from burnt vegetation. Extreme weather events such as heatwaves and storms could also have a negative impact, causing damage to property and human fatalities.
There are a number of ways in which to tackle the effects of global warming.
Reducing the release of greenhouse gases from industry, transportation, and other activities would have a positive impact by causing a decrease in the rate at which they build up. Cleaner fuels such as nuclear or renewable energy could be used to replace carbon dioxide emitting fossil fuels, which would also reduce the number of greenhouse gases being produced. However, most scientists agree that it is too late for this method to have an impact on climate change, due to the number of greenhouse gases already in the atmosphere. There are several policies that are being proposed with regard to tackling global warming.

SHOULD PUBLIC SMOKING BE BANNED?
The debate on whether public smoking should be banned has been rhetoric for centuries. A lot of people are smokers, but not many are happy being around smokers.
Smoking is considered to be a vice, so why should public smoking be allowed? Why shouldn't it just be banned altogether? After all, if private property owners want to allow smoking on their own property, there is nothing stopping them from doing so. The idea of banning cigarette sales seems absurd because the government regulates tobacco sales for specific purposes - namely to discourage poor people from taking up an expensive habit.
Therefore, public bans on cigarette sales seem contradictory or counterproductive because this would only make the cigarettes more attractive and desirable by reducing supply and increasing demand for them.
Nevertheless, there are many advantages of banning cigarette sales. Smoking-induced illnesses cost governments billions of dollars every year. This money could be better spent on other societal needs that are more important than smoking. The American Lung Association report shows that smoking kills more than 440,000 people every year in the US alone. There are also many proven medical reasons why people shouldn't smoke. According to the Cancer Society, "tobacco use is the single most preventable cause of death in Canada.
" Not only can selling cigarettes be an inconvenience to society but it can also be extremely dangerous to anyone who smokes or to those who are forced into inhaling second-hand smoke at the workplace or at home. Therefore, cigarette sales should be banned because smoking can be detrimental to public health.
There are also many disadvantages of banning cigarette sales. If cigarettes were to be banned, criminals and gangs would take over the underground cigarette market and profiteer from smuggling and other illegal activities which brings about its own set of problems to the government and society as a whole. The money that used to go towards cigarettes could now go towards these criminal organizations who deal in smuggled goods and human trafficking.
The inability to sell cigarettes or other illegal tobacco products also means that people will be limited in their choices and forced to smoke only the cigarette brands that they can afford. Of course, there are other effects such as increased crime and an increase in drug use. People may turn to cheaper and more dangerous alternatives such as snorting heroin or smoking crack cocaine which would also increase drug use and therefore put a strain on society's resources.
Despite the disadvantages associated with limiting cigarette sales, there are many advantages as well.
For example, banning cigarette sales reduces deaths because people can no longer buy cigarettes that they can not afford or do not like; this reduction has saved countless amounts of lives around the world.

EXAM MALPRACTICE MORE DANGEROUS THAN JUST A RETAKE
A recent study by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) revealed that 53% of institutions that charge up to £9,000 per year for tuition also provide support services that appear to be either unnecessary or not delivered in a coherent way.
Since these institutions are already making so much money, it would be wise for them to invest in better-off students instead of those who need more help. The average college does not offer education for the sake of education. It exists to make money, and that same money goes into the pockets of the owners of the colleges. The more students that are enrolled, the higher their profits will be. Of course, colleges are never known for keeping information about tuition cost on file for students, either.
Malpractice is generally defined as "immoral or unethical medical treatment". When the term is applied to higher education, it describes the unethical treatment of students by college faculty. Many educators are truly concerned about helping students succeed in their academic careers, but then there are those that only care about making money. The government should put an end to these practices that are causing harm to students across the country.
There are several steps that should be taken by lawmakers in order to end malpractice in higher education.
First, the government should send a clear message to universities and colleges that the misappropriation of funds will not be condoned. If universities have records of misusing money in the past, they should take it into consideration when making decisions about giving them more money for future projects.
To illustrate, if a college has been found guilty of unethical practices in the past that have been brought to light by an investigation, then they should not be given funding from the government. This would allow for malpractice to effectively be eliminated from higher education. There is a huge difference between a college that is found to have been unethical in the past and one that they are committing now. It would also make it easier for students to distinguish between institutions that truly care about educating them and those that simply want to make money.
Another way to make sure colleges do not benefit from misuse of funds is by having institutions responsible for their costs being audited on a regular basis. This would make it harder for administrators to misappropriate money because they would be afraid of being caught. The government should also raise the number of faculty members in colleges. This is because more faculty members would allow for better monitoring of the funds that are being spent at the college
Overworked professors do not have time to adequately watch how administrators are using their money. It is very important for colleges to have a sizeable number of professors so no one is overworked. This is because it enables the faculty members to have the energy to do things other than teaching. This includes being free to go on research trips, do work at their offices, or take care of other things.
Another way for this problem to be resolved is by increasing transparency across universities and colleges. It would also be very wise for students to organize protests until they are able to get more transparency from colleges. The more students know about the decisions that college administrators are making, the better. The government should also ban colleges from receiving assistance for retiring professors without evidence of malpractice.
Once the government institutes these measures, all universities and colleges will be held accountable for their ethical practices. Colleges will be forced to keep detailed records about how they use tuition money so no one can misappropriate funds anymore.

The international human rights organizations claim that 400,000 were killed in the 1994 genocide .however the official figure given by the Rwandan government estimates that around 10,000 people were killed.
The conflict has escalated since January 2018 because Rwanda has gone on a vast campaign to get other countries around the world to recognize what they call "the truth about Rwanda" which is what they believe happened in 1994 - it was not genocide but rather an invasion by neighboring countries which had been planning it for years. This has caused other countries to join in arms deals with Rwanda and visa agreements.
The genocide was not totally unplanned. The Rwandan Patriotic Front (RPF) was the rebel group during the Rwandan Civil War, which ended in 1993. The RPF had been led by Paul Kagame before he became president of Rwanda. When the civil war ended, the RPF took over government institutions and started implementing a new social and economic policy for Rwanda – one based on African socialism – which included total state control over all aspects of life, including the education system. This policy put people who opposed the RPF at great risk, even death. The Rwandan government was labeled as "genocide" by the United Nations only in 2003.
Many countries around the world do not recognize the genocide label because it is based on an independent report done by international agencies, especially the United Nations. International agencies say that they are respected internationally and used to deal with international issues like this.
However, these agencies are highly criticized by researchers and academics for how they handled information before and during the Rwanda genocide.
Another critic of the genocide label is, the United States government and some members of the United Nations Security Council. They do not recognize Rwanda as a country and say that the 1994 genocide was not based on ethnicity but rather ethnic divisions between Rwandan groups. However, one of these groups was treated as second-class citizens and marginalized economically for years. One of these groups was Tutsi people, who made up 14% of the population in 1994. The other group was some Hutu who collaborated with those who caused massive violence on the Tutsi minority during the Rwandan Civil War. But this collaboration did not make them a target during the genocide, according to researchers at Michigan State University, which published a study in November 2017.
The ethnic divisions within Rwanda led to many other conflicts between different groups. Rwandan President Paul Kagame has said that the genocide was not to kill the Tutsi people but rather because of their political beliefs.
The international community has said that the genocide was not about ethnicity, but rather about political beliefs. "Genocide is not about killing anyone based on ethnicity, but killing people based on their political beliefs", said United States Secretary of State Rex Tillerson to Reuters news agency in October 2017. “Any actions that seek to justify this egregious behavior will be prosecuted", he added.
The International Association of Genocide Scholars (IAGS), has said that the Rwandan genocide was indeed a genocide. This is because it did not start out as ethnic cleansing or ethnic violence, but rather political violence. The IAGS also believes that the international community did not do enough to stop the Rwandan genocide. The IAGS think that there should be more accountability for what happened in Rwanda in 1994 than what they are seeing now.

DEADLY FISTULA
What causes a fistula?
A fistula is an abnormal connection between two parts of the body that results from damage to the tissue separating them. The damage may be caused by prolonged pressure or rubbing, or, in some cases, it can happen suddenly as a result of injury. There are different types of fistulas. A successful operation will prevent future complications such as urinary tract infections or reopening of existing fistulas.
There are many causes of fistula, some of which are more common than others. For instance, some medical conditions can cause a person to have a ruptured bladder or intestinal tract. This in turn leads to the release of urine into the vagina and/or feces into the rectum. The use of catheters can also contribute to a fistula effect in individual who is unable to empty their bladder or bowels on their own yet does not have a catheter in place. Some of the common causes of a fistula include:
Pelvic Surgery: Pelvic surgery can cause a fistula to develop in a patient. Some surgeries which can do this included surgery to the prostate, bladder, and uterus. The most common cause of fistula from surgery is when a patient has had multiple surgeries in the same region. In these cases, the previous incisions reopen, causing an injury to occur in that region once again.
Injury: There are many types of injuries that can produce a fistula. Common examples include an injury during labor or childbirth, burns, and traumatic measures used on patients with multiple fractures.
Obstetric Fistula: Obstetric fistula is one of the most common types of fistula around. It develops when a patient had an injury during childbirth, usually due to extensive labor or multiple pregnancies. The product of the fetus ends up in the bladder or rectum, which then causes an injury to develop that can lead to a hole between the two organs.
Ailments that cause incontinence: Many types of ailments and conditions can cause damage and weakness in a patient’s pelvic region, leading to incontinence and other issues that will eventually lead to a fistula. Some examples include diabetes and injuries from accidents or other trauma.
Age can sometimes cause a fistula to develop in a patient. When this happens, it is the weakening of the pelvic floors that assists with the control of bladder and bowel movements in patients. The weakening of this area makes patients more susceptible to damage in the area leading to fistula.
Specialized procedures are used to treat nearly every cause of fistulas. These include:
Most patients required more than one surgery.
The various plugs used to treat fistulas are also known as non-surgical procedures because they attempt to close the hole with bio-engineered materials without needing much surgical intervention. Many specialists believe that the plugs are more effective, less expensive, and safer for patient health than traditional methods.

If you can't wait, try calling the company and asking for a refund--this isn't to be taken lightly, so take your time and plan out exactly what you'll say. Don't buy anything at a garage sale or flea market that's not in the condition you would have purchased it in if it were new. Don't take out a credit card unless you're sure it's going to be worth the interest and fees! If you're on a budget, make friends with someone who can give you free stuff for various home repairs or repairs on their car! Don't go to stores unless there's something specific that you need to buy--shopping on "sale" is very tempting, but it can cost more money in the long run! If your boss won't allow you time off for personal issues, see if he/she will allow you time off for medical appointments or appointments with your doctor/regular eye doctor!
Get a second job if you can! You'll almost always make more money! Don't go to the movies, but rent the same movies and show them at home or get someone else to watch them with or without you!

SAY NO TO INFANT MORTALITY!!!!
For the last few decades, researchers have been studying and working to find out why some communities experience higher infant mortality rates than others.
There are several reasons why certain cities have a high infant mortality rate, research has been revealed that these rates are higher among minorities and those who live in urban areas. Possible reasons for the high mortality rate include those from ethnicity, those who are less educated, poor environmental conditions (such as air pollution), and lack of health insurance. Life expectancy is low as a result of high infant and maternal mortality rates, the spread of preventable diseases, poor sanitation, chronic malnutrition, and inadequate health services.
High infant mortality rates in communities are a major public health concern for everyone involved. For those living in impoverished communities that struggle with limited access to healthcare, the rates of death are significantly higher than that of more upscale neighborhoods with greater access to medical care. These statistics lead to a problem of unequal opportunity as high mortality rates disproportionately affect low-income families who often feel disenfranchised from their government institutions and unable to adequately provide for their children's needs. There is also the issue of racial discrimination. Infant mortality rates are significantly higher for African-American children than for their white counterparts, who have greater access to healthcare and medical resources.
Afghanistan has the highest infant mortality rate of 110.6. Much of Afghanistan is rural and recovering from years of conflict. Poor nutrition is the primary cause of high infant mortality rates in Afghanistan. Nearly, 55 percent of children under the age of 12 years suffer from physical and mental incapacitation due to poor diet. On the same note, maternal mortality is also high due to inadequate nutrition.
The risks and causes associated with infant mortality in Somalia include;
Malnutrition, lack of safe drinking water or proper sanitation, and diseases. From the end of the neonatal period and through the first 5 years of life, the main causes of death are pneumonia, diarrhea, diseases, polio, measles, and neonatal disorders are among the leading causes contributing to the high infant and child mortality rate in Somalia. pneumonia, diarrhea, birth defects, and malaria.
Beneficial intervention for community-based newborn care
Community-based care may improve breastfeeding practices and increase referrals to health facilities for pregnancy-related complications and other health care services during pregnancy, such as iron and folic acid supplementation (Lassi and others 2013).
Some ideas to improve maternal health in areas of conflict and extreme poverty may include; Empowering women, Kiting out refugee camps, using an integrated approach, getting men involved. To mention but a few.

WHY DOMESTIC VIOLENCE!!
Domestic violence is any physical or emotional harm that one uses against the other in a relationship. It can include physical, sexual, emotional or psychological abuse. Victims of domestic violence are not always aware of how to get help because it takes a social problem to become aware of the issue. Domestic violence is not just about hitting or being hit but also includes coercion and intimidation. It can be difficult for victims to provide evidence because people are reluctant to do so even if they have been abused for years.
Domestic violence knows no boundaries, race, creed, age, education level, socioeconomic status etc., which makes it all the more difficult for society to fight against this alarming trend that has gradually increased over recent decades. More and more people and parties involved in the domestic violence issue have been aware of this situation and have been taking action to address it.
In order to eradicate abuse from society, there should be a symbolizing system that would help eliminate it from homes as well as from other public areas. In order to do so, there should be a system for safety for victims of domestic violence. This safety will aid the victims not only by protecting them but also by providing aid and emotional support. The safety measures must be able to provide a safe environment for victims that helps them recover from the trauma they have undergone as a result of being abused or mistreated at home.
Many domestic violence victims are often prevented from accessing emergency rooms due to financial difficulties. Staying safe can be expensive, especially if there is a high likelihood of being abused at home. This is the reason why the government must set up a program for safety for victims of domestic violence so that they can access emergency services without being required to pay for it. The government should also provide the victims with an immediate cease to violence order, which will also allow them to remove themselves from harm's way immediately after being abused by their abuser. A cease to violence order should only be granted when there are signs that could indicate that the victim has been physically or verbally abused or mistreated by his/her abuser(s).
In order to provide the necessary facilities for victims of domestic violence, there must be a program in place that will establish a safe place for victims to access. In addition to the establishment of a safe place for victims to access, there must also be a program that will assist in establishing legal procedures that can help victims gain protection from being abused by their abuser(s).
Although the acceptance of domestic violence is still a major problem in society today, many people have been fighting against it and fighting for women's rights and enhanced services. It is important that there is more participation from various levels of society in order to create awareness about this issue. This can be done through the media and through spreading the word about this issue. lets say no to Domestic Violence.

GLOBETROTTING THE COVID 19 PANDEMIC IN AFRICA
A pandemic is an epidemic of infectious disease that has spread through human population across a large region; for instance multiple continents, or even worldwide. It is especially likely to affect many people, and to cause severe disruptions to normal social and economic activity.
The COVID 19 pandemic swept into Africa in 2019, but the fallout on schools had been predicted by researchers who were more than familiar with the bleak effects on society at large. COVID 19's impact was especially harsh in Africa where smaller villages had difficulty evacuating their children due to lack of means of transportation. Schools were one of the first places where infection would take root because they are often densely packed with children. Teachers would also take sick because they are close to the children, who are the main victims of this pandemic.
In Tanzania, where the virus was first reported in February 2019, it is estimated that 20% of the population were infected. In May, when it had reached its peak of over 21 cases per 1,000 people it matched the outbreak in Madagascar. The Tanzanian government responded by sending out "mobile laboratories to test samples" of respiratory ailments to all regional hospitals.
In Tanzania, one in 10 children died due to the pandemic, 67 children died in the first month, the highest among African countries affected. By July nearly 1 million people had been infected. The government response program included free blood screenings for children ages 4–14 to test them for illnesses associated with this virus.
They also oversaw action against individuals who tried to profit from this pandemic by selling fake vaccines and medicine containing viruses from other countries as well as distributing beer containing armadillidium algae as a cough remedy.
In Nigeria, As of October 1, over one million people had been infected and at least 13,500 had died. That number is expected to rise as the number of infections climbs and reports become available from rural areas that did not report before.
The majority of the deaths have been among children under the age of five. In April, Nigeria's president appealed to citizens to donate blood for a blood donation program to help contain the virus. He also called on all citizens to take precautions and avoid close contact with sick individuals, especially people without proper medical assistance.
Nigeria's government has responded by sending out mobile laboratories to countries where the virus has spread including Uganda, Tanzania, and Kenya. They have also reached out to other countries including South Africa, Saudi Arabia and France for help in containing the pandemic.
In addition to prevention methods such as hand washing and use of face masks they have created a "national influenza taskforce" that is led by the Minister of Health. The taskforce released an "action plan".

HEAVY FLOODS DISPLACE OVER 1MILLION PEOPLE IN SOMALIA
Floods in Somalia have left over 1.5 million people in need of emergency assistance - close to half of the country's population. The Government of Somalia estimates damages at $1 billion dollars, with 6,000 homes destroyed.
Ethiopia is also affected by the heavy rains, bringing flooding and landslides to more than 50 districts which has so far killed over 40 people and injured 150 others. Somali Prime Minister's spokesman confirmed that roads are cut off due to flooding and severe weather conditions making it difficult for supplies to reach the needy populations in both countries.
According to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), floods in Somalia started on 1 June, 2018 and continuous rainfall has greatly affected over 3.2 million people in the country. 71,000 families have been displaced out of their homes and have sought refuge in 125 shelters in affected regions. The flooding is also reported to have killed at least eleven people, including two children. By 5 June, a total of 2 million people were affected by floods hindering movement from farms which are directly affecting livelihoods and putting food security at risk across large parts of southern Somalia.
Following the floods and rains, refugees and internally displaced people (IDPs) in Somalia and Ethiopia began to face extreme water-related health risks with the majority of those affected estimated to be dehydrated. The United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) released a statement stating that many of those who fled their homes are living without adequate food, shelter or supplies to protect them from rain-triggered disease outbreaks. Moreover, the number of refugees seeking shelter has increased as reports have suggested many are forced to accede to their tents due to lack of housing. The International Organization for Migration estimates that over 2 million people may be impacted by floods in Somalia across 2 Regions causing severe hardships for those displaced or seeking safety.
UNICEF reported that children and women are at a higher risk of contracting deadly diseases such as cholera, dysentery, typhoid and malaria. Over 1 million people have been restricted from accessing clean drinking water after an estimated 900 water sources have been contaminated across the country. When asked about the ongoing health crisis, the Ministry of Health in Somalia stated that they were working to prevent an outbreak by distributing hygiene kits and chlorinating standing waters.
In order to provide relief aid to the victims from ongoing floods, United Nations agencies have launched a joint fundraising campaign with a target of $5 million in 2018.

The vast majority of natural gas is used in the United States for space heating. Natural gas has many uses, which means that developing countries like the United States are reliant on imports. For this reason, domestic natural gas production is needed to ensure continued availability.
Approximately 4.7 trillion cubic feet of gas are produced each day in the United States. Most of this gas is used in the energy industry, such as electricity generation and for industrial purposes.
The United States is the world's largest consumer of natural gas, with annual consumption of 91.6 billion cubic feet (Bcf) per day, followed by China at 67 Bcf, and Japan at 40 Bcf. Overall, global consumption of natural gas in 2006 was about 305 billion cubic feet (Bcf), an increase of 1.7 percent from 2005.
The International Energy Agency forecasts that worldwide consumption will continue to rise due to increased industrialization and the expansion of the global economy. Natural gas is a primary fuel for the power sector, accounting for about 25 percent of the total energy consumed in the United States. In 2000, natural gas represented 23 percent of all primary energy used in the United States.
U.S. natural gas production ramped up rapidly in the late 1960s and 1870s to meet rapidly rising demand. Producer and field development costs rose as well, so there was little profit in making new wells. By the 1970s, most large new gas discoveries were being made in Alaska, which had little or no competition for an increasing share of gas production.
The discovery of extensive natural gas deposits in the Zagros Mountains of Iran changed that. Producing natural gas from this region had been extremely difficult before the development of the "fracture-stimulation" method, and was not technically possible before the development of horizontal drilling and hydraulic fracturing techniques.
Expected production from Iran, combined with declining U.S. gas production due to several factors, had made natural gas from this area a critical component of U.S. energy supplies, as the United States depended on imports of natural gas from around the world for more than 75 percent of its total needs.
The exporters, unable to compete with Russian gas, were not able to make up the difference between domestic demand and U.S. production during the 1970s and 1980s.
Since the fall of the Soviet Union and the end of its domestic fuel subsidies, Russia's gas exports to Europe - which had been accounting for 60 percent of its gas production - became inadequate.
Huge finds of natural gas in the U.S. and globally during the 1990s and early 2000s helped to make natural gas a valuable commodity.
In 2000, about 77 percent of U.S. natural gas imports came from Canada and another 17 percent from Mexico. The remainder was supplied by several other countries. With the advent of new sources of natural gas in the Persian Gulf, imports by pipeline from Canada, and Mexico are expected to continue to drop.
As global oil prices increase, the price of natural gas is expected to rise as well. Natural gas prices are influenced by many factors.
The U.S. Energy Information Administration expects that "domestic natural gas production will continue to decline slightly through 2040, as domestic demand is expected to increase.

HOW TO MAKE A SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS
Business is more than just about making money, it's about finding your passion and turning that into effective marketable service. To start a business, you need to know what you want to sell and how best to reach your audience. For me, it was a little niche market, about which I was passionate. I loved the idea of writing and photography for others for pay. It was not something that came to me overnight. I was always interested in it, but I knew that if I wanted to make a profit, I would have to put some work into it. It took me several years to secure my first client.
Business is not for the faint of heart, it is not for those who are easily frustrated or who lack an entrepreneurial spirit. It will take discipline and stamina to build a true business. Don't expect instant gratification... that's not what it is about.
After I had secured my first paying job, I began to learn how to operate a business. I started with the simplest of things, like finding an office for my business. I scouted out several locations and ended up leasing a spot in a building with a high-speed internet connection, which was important for my photography business. Then I took on the task of building the website that I had designed through my freelance work. The website was my storefront, where clients could come and view my portfolio, browse through the content of the site, and contact me. I also started a blog to build a steady stream of income from online marketing.
That was the beginning, the very basics. I knew that I had to get my business in order and make it work. That was when I decided to start a website and blog. It's what helped me grow and build my brand. I started my website and blog with the idea that I could build it into something that would support me financially. I was not always successful... it took some time, but I kept at it.
I had to learn how to market myself effectively. I began by writing articles for others. I would pitch the articles to websites, write them, and then send them off. I made sure that they were well-written and interesting to read. It was not long before I began receiving regular freelance assignments from several different publications for articles on topics that I knew about well. I began mentioning my freelance writing on my blog, and soon I had regular readers of the blog.
The more I wrote, the more assignments I received. As long as you continue to produce quality work, you will continue to receive more and more freelance jobs.

WRITING A GOOD RESEARCH PROPOSAL OR THESIS
If you want to get your research proposal passed through the review process, you must organize everything in a way that makes sense. This includes how you write it, what information is included in the summary, and where all of your footnotes should go.
What Not to Include
Some elements of your proposal are likely to make reviewers question why they should pass it along for review. These include titles (e.g., “Potential impacts on car buyers”), non-specific subtitles (e.g., “Market analysis”), or confusing subtitles (e.g., “Impacts of foreign exchange restrictions on small businesses”). Some elements will quickly turn off reviewers. These include excessive use of pronouns (e.g., "I believe…" or "I plan…"), or statements that begin with “Some research has shown…”.The goal you want to accomplish with your proposal is for reviewers to stop reading after the first page and begin writing an approval memo for your project.
Success in higher education or the job market is largely dependent on how well you can research and analyze ideas. There are a lot of steps that go into the process, but the most important one is coming up with an idea that can be researched and analyzed! It's a great place for students, recent graduates, and anyone struggling to get their research off the ground. Let's get started!
There are many steps involved in writing a research proposal or thesis. Luckily it doesn't have to be complicated!.
Here are some of the basic steps.
Step 1: Develop Your Idea
Almost any research project can be broken down into three parts: problem, methods, and results. The first step is to choose an idea that can be researched through these steps. The best kind of research question is one that you are interested in or passionate about because this will help you stay motivated throughout the work. For example, let's say you want to know what motivates people to vote When you are starting, make sure you can answer the question by doing one of these three things: You will need to do some reading before you choose an idea. The more directed your question is, the more specific your literature review (which we'll cover next) will need to be.
Step 2: Develop Your Literature Review
The purpose of your literature review is to examine what has already been done on your topic and how it fits into the bigger picture of the field. A good review will also touch on what is lacking in the literature.
Step 3: Define Your Methods & Materials
Once you've decided which methods are most appropriate for your research question, it's important to define them clearly. This is where you address the potential limitations of your study design if any. For example, if you are doing a survey study and would like to mail it out to people, defining your sampling method can help you reduce bias in who you end up interviewing. You should also define the materials that are needed for your research project.
How to conclude your research proposal.
The main purpose of the proposal is to persuade readers that your proposed project is valuable and deserves consideration. You need to convince potential readers that they will get what they want in return for their consideration. It is essential to make your key messages stand out clearly. Your proposal should include a clear, concise summary that describes the project briefly. If the agency uses this summary to screen proposals, your summary must be persuasive enough that reviewers will want to see your entire proposal. To persuade reviewers that your project meets their eligibility criteria, you must first show that it is relevant to the agency's mandate. Your proposal should address what they are trying to accomplish by funding your research.
Second, you need to convince them the project fits with their interests and objectives. If they want to promote science on some issue, for instance, you need to show that your project relates to one of these issues. If they are interested in new ways of financing research, you need to show how your proposal will be of interest to funders.
Finally, you need to convince them that your research is of high quality and that it will be effectively carried out.

The importance of petroleum engineering in the modern world cannot be understated. Petroleum engineers use tools and techniques to extract, process, and transport oil.
They can even be called upon to help develop alternative sources of fuel such as solar panels and wind turbines. As the need for fuel has increased in recent years, petroleum engineering has burst into a major career field that is attractive for many reasons including an average starting salary of $79K per year and high demand due to global competition among nations.
The petroleum engineering field was not created overnight and is constantly evolving. Petroleum engineers must have a wide array of knowledge and skills ranging from geology to chemistry. Petroleum engineering is basically the engineering applied to the recovery, conversion, and transport of oil or gas. Though engineering is involved in every part of the oil industry, petroleum engineering generally includes all aspects up to and including refining and distribution of petroleum products. Petroleum engineers may also work on issues related to exploration for new sources of oil or ways to improve recovery from current fields. The field of petroleum engineering began with the first major application — recovery and purification — and will continue as long as there is demand for fossil fuels. More recent innovations have helped to boost the field's stature in the larger engineering community, including things like the birth of computer-aided design (CAD) and simulation modeling.
To enter petroleum engineering, it is recommended that prospective students have a great math background, as well as "good fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, multiphase flow, statistics." Many programs require students to be at least a junior in college before they are allowed to apply because of the rigorous requirements. Although not required, it is usually beneficial for students to take at least one course on petroleum engineering that includes looking into resources available for careers beyond petroleum engineering. For example, students may be able to discover how to get started in the field of engineering management or other engineering fields depending on their interests.
The first step to becoming a petroleum engineer is receiving an accredited bachelor's degree. Most schools offer specialized programs for petroleum engineering, but there are several that also offer degrees that allow for more than just petroleum engineering applications. An example Somaville University that offers an accredited bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering. One major advantage of starting the bachelor's degree at a school with this type of program is its diversity; students can take courses in different areas aside from petroleum engineering, which will later allow them to secure jobs in various fields (e.g., environmental/chemical or business)
